Mad Rush for Party T-shirts And Free Food Sparks Chaotic Scenes At Ablekuma Central

Ablekuma Central Constituency withnessed a chaotic scene on Friday as hundreds of constituents scrambled for free food and NPP branded t-shirts being distributed by the New Patriotic Party as part of their ongoing campaign efforts.
The distribution, whoch tookpl place in the early afternoon on Saturday, 5th October at Ablekuma Central turned into a frenzy as people rushed to secure a fair share of the items being distributed.
The free food is being distributed to the residents as part of the New Patriotic Party charity shopping started few days ago. They were served with takeaways full of jollof rice and fried rice. Women amd children were mostly seen at the event where everyone rushed to secure a plate for themselves.
The party t-shirts were distributed from a moving vehicle despite that, the residents still rushed, pushing their way to secure one for themselves. The organisers who initially attempted to maintain order by telling them to line up for the distribution, soon lost control as the crowd surged forward towards the moving pick-up truck to collect their share.
Despite the chaotic scene, there was no single violence as everyone only rushed to get something for themselves. The gesture was part of New Patriotic Party’s strategy to engage with the community and support voters.
