“Nothing Can Stop It” – Allotey Jacobs Responds to Rev. Owusu-Bempah’s Prophecy for Mahama

Bernard Allotey Jacobs, the former Central Regional Chairman of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), has expressed his disdain for certain clergymen who recently met with the party’s presidential candidate, John Dramani Mahama as reported by Ghana Web on Friday, October 4, 2024.

In a provocative statement made on Peace FM’s Kokrokoo on October 3, 2024, he accused these religious leaders of hypocrisy and deceit.

Jacobs did not hold back, labeling the clergymen as “hypocrites” and “conmen” who exploit spirituality for personal gain. He claimed that many of these individuals collude with politicians, accepting financial inducements under the guise of divine guidance.

“We have con pastors in Ghana, so I don’t believe in those things. Nobody knows God’s secret except Himself. So, all those ‘God has spoken to me and power being given to you’ are all lies,” Jacobs asserted.

His remarks reflect a growing concern about the integrity of some religious leaders, whom he believes are damaging the reputation of the clergy.

Jacobs stated that their actions contribute to a general mistrust of the clergy among the populace. “We are not respecting the clergy in this country.

Some of the clergies in this country are dishonest and conmen,” he lamented, adding that accountability awaits everyone come December 7, the date of the upcoming elections.

Jacobs’s criticism comes in light of Rev. Isaac Owusu-Bempah’s recent prophecy during a meeting with other clergymen, where he predicted Mahama’s victory in the December elections.

Owusu-Bempah claimed that God had entrusted the country to Mahama again due to his “good heart.” “When the prayer was going on, this is what the Lord has told me.

Because of the good heart of this man, the Lord has entrusted the country in his hands again. Nothing can stop it,” he stated.
