Ashanti NDC Youth Reject Owusu Bempah

Apostle Isaac Owusu Bempah

The opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC) youth group in the Ashanti Region has expressed disappointment and frustration over Apostle Isaac Owusu-Bempah’s involvement in John Dramani Mahama’s recent engagement with clergy members in Accra.

Reverend Owusu-Bempah, founder and leader of Glorious Word Power Ministries International, on Tuesday was among the pastors who led prayers for former President John Mahama at the Clergy engagement in Accra, despite being an ardent critic of the former President.

The youth group, “NDC Ashanti Youth for Mahama,” in a statement questioned why Rev. Isaac Owusu-Bempah was entertained by their party, considering Prophet Ebenezer Adarkwa-Yiadom, also known as “Prophet One,” had already prayed for Mahama. .

They see Isaac Owusu-Bempah’s presence as unnecessary, stating, “We didn’t need Apostle Owusu-Bempah since Opambour had already done what he did for our Flagbearer at the gathering.”

The group’s coordinator, Frank Osei Bonsu, in a statement urged party leaders to “cut all ties with Apostle Owusu-Bempah since he is not genuinely for us.” This sentiment echoes concerns about Owusu-Bempah’s loyalty and intentions.

Below is the full statement:

OPAMBOUR HAS DONE IT ALREADY. WE DON’T NEED OWUSU-BEMPAH – NDC Ashanti Youth for Mahama

We the members of the aforementioned group have taken notice of the instrumental role played by the founder and leader of the Glorious Word Power Ministries International, Apostle Isaac Owusu-Bempah, during our Flagbearer’s engagement with a diverse group of church leaders which brought together leaders of various denominations, such as the Catholic, Pentecostal, Charismatic, and spiritual churches.

While we commend the leadership of our party for such a great move, we express our disappointment at the fact that Apostle Owusu-Bempah, upon all that he did against John Mahama would be entertained to the point of playing such a big role at the gathering.

Indeed, his presence at the event was even needless as Prophet Ebenezer Adarkwa-Yiadom, popularly known as Opambour had already offered prayers for our Flagbearer. Our point is simple. We didn’t need Apostle Owusu-Bempah since Opambour had already done what he did for our Flagbearer at the gathering.

We therefore urge our leaders to cut all ties with Apostle Owusu-Bempah since he is not genuinely for us.
