The head pastor of Alabaster International Ministry, Prophet Kofi Oduro, has issued a strong warning to individuals engaged in illegal mining activities that are causing significant destruction to water bodies.
Addressing the devastating effects of galamsey on the country and the health of citizens during his Sunday church service, Prophet Kofi Oduro condemned politicians and political apparatchiks who back and fund the activities of these illegal miners, providing them with weapons to fight against well-meaning citizens.
Speaking to his congregants, he said God will strike down all individuals engaged in galamsey, including politicians.
According to him, their activities are claiming the lives of Ghanaians due to the mercury and other pollutants used to mine gold in water bodies.
“I have a little announcement for all galamseyers, God will kill you. God will kill you all one after the other.”
Prophet Kofi Oduro disclosed how the activities of these illegal miners are being used to fund the lifestyles of some political leaders and their respective parties.
“All galamseyers, God will kill you because we realize that most of our leaders are backing galamsey. Most of our leaders are backing galamsey. We have understood how galamsey is funding parties, God will kill you. You won’t understand your death, it is God that will kill you.
“…Be there and be playing with God. The leader who is sponsoring your activities with pump action guns will die of a heart attack and God will kill them. We are here and God will kill them all. Galamsey, this is your announcement and if you like, continue engaging in the illegal activity, God will kill you. We have dedicated you all to God because we can’t be sitting here for people to be dying from kidney failures, leukemia, and all kinds of cancers from cyanide and mercury. You better fear God rather than fear Antoa Nyama,” he said.
Ghanaians have launched a campaign against the activities of illegal mining calling on the government to ban its activities following the destruction of several river bodies across the country.
