The Electoral Commission’s Headquarters will host the balloting of presidential candidates for the 2024 December polls today, Friday, September 20, 2024, at 4 PM.
The process is crucial in determining the order of names on the ballot paper.
The balloting comes after the EC released the list of qualified candidates for the 2024 polls. Out of 24 presidential candidates, 13 have been cleared to run in the race.
Notable among the qualified candidates are John Dramani Mahama of the National Democratic Congress, Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia of the New Patriotic Party, John Alan Kojo Kyeramaten, and Nana Kwame Bediako.
However, not all candidates were fortunate enough to be cut as Bernard Mornah of the People’s National Convention (PNC) and Janet Nabla of the People’s National Party (PNP) were among those disqualified from contesting the election.
Other disqualified candidates include Nana Stephens Adjepong, Paul Perkoh, and James Kwesi Oppong, among others.
