The opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC) is organising a nationwide demonstration today, September 17, 2024 over the EC’s refusal to allow for a forensic audit of the voters’ register.
The protest is happening simultaneously in all sixteen regions in Ghana.
The party insists that the current voter register, rather than “boost our confidence” in the Electoral Commission’s processes and promote free, fair, and transparent elections, is “sadly riddled with a lot” of errors.
The party’s bigwigs and all supporters at the grassroot have joined the ‘huge’ protest today.
