The National Organiser of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), Henry Nana Boakye, popularly known as Nana B, has brushed aside claims by political science lecturer at the KNUST, Dr Richard Amoako Baah, that he, together with other members of the party plan to leave to form another political group.

Speaking on how to navigate the impending “Thank You Tour” of the party, on Neat FM on April, 22, 2025, he stated that the party seeks to express their gratitude to God, all supporters, and revitalise the grassroot members.

He criticised Dr Richard Amoako Baah for his claim that some members of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) are planning to break away from the party to form a new one.

He explained that the political science lecturer has been demonstrating anti-party behaviours since the 2024 electioneering campaign.

“Is he still part of the NPP? During the 2024 Election season, he stated publicly that the NPP will lose power. He said a lot of things that are anti-party. So, I’m not surprised,” he said in Twi.

Nana B, subsequently, urged party faithful to look beyond anti-party sentiments and focus on revitalising the grassroot after the heavy defeat in the 2024 Election.

He noted that the impending “Thank You Tour” to be held under the theme, “In All Things, Give Thanks to God” (1 Thessalonians 5:18), primarily seeks to regroup and resolve internal issues.

He added that the tour will begin at the NPP Headquarters from April, 23, 2025, before they proceed to visit all 16 regions.

The exercise which aims to reinforce unity and the bond between the party’s leadership and its grassroots, will be climaxed with an interfaith thanksgiving services comprising of both Christians and Islamic observances.
