President John Dramani Mahama shared the story behind the creation of the Kwahu Business Forum, a platform aimed at fostering economic growth and supporting Ghanaian entrepreneurs.
Speaking about the initiative at the 2025 edition of the Kwahu Business Forum on Saturday, April 19,, President Mahama credited his close associate, Julius Debrah, for conceptualising the idea.
“While planning the trip, my friend and co-conspirator, the Honourable Julius Debrah, formulated the idea that as part of attending the celebrations, we should organise a forum.
“This would serve as a platform for me to explain my economic policies and how they would assist business people in transforming and growing their businesses,” he explained.
President Mahama revealed that the idea was well-received by the business community, leading to the birth of the Kwahu Business Forum.
The forum has since become a key event for engaging stakeholders, discussing policy interventions, and exploring strategies to enhance Ghana’s business landscape.
