We don’t fear any player at Kotoko – Kasim Mingle

Nsoatreman FC head coach, Kasim Ocansey Mingle, has downplayed the threat posed by Asante Kotoko ahead of their Ghana Premier League clash, insisting his side is not intimidated by the Porcupine Warriors.

Speaking in an interview on Akoma 87.9 FM, Mingle admitted the upcoming fixture in Kumasi will be tough, but remained confident in his squad’s abilities.

“Kotoko is coming to play in Kumasi after losing to Accra Lions. They are our senior brothers, and here [Abrankese] is their home, so it will be a difficult game,” he said. “But we want to build on our current form and results. It will not be easy, but the better side will win.”

Responding to concerns about Kotoko’s individual talents, particularly top performers like Albert Amoah, Mingle insisted his team is not fazed.

“Albert Amoah and co all played in the first leg, and we won. They are players, and we have comparable players here too, so we don’t fear any player at Kotoko,” he stressed.

While acknowledging Kotoko’s experience, he reiterated his faith in his own players: “Kotoko have more mature players than my team, but it is football, and as I always say, the better side will win.”

Nations FC, who won the reverse fixture 0-2, are unbeaten against Kotoko with two wins and a draw in their three top flight meetings.
