Agya Kwabena’s recent absence from UTV’s morning show has raised questions among many viewers. According to a post by PK Sarpong, a member of the NPP, the situation is more complex than it seems.
PK Sarpong claims that Agya Kwabena was sidelined and now hosts a less popular Saturday morning program instead of his usual weekday show. This new time slot is considered unfavorable as it overlaps with other TV programs that many Ghanaians prefer.
The post suggests that after the NDC came into power, Agya Kwabena allegedly began seeking a government job. He is said to have lobbied Mahama-led government officials, pointing to his support for the NDC on air as a reason for his consideration.
According to the post, he mentioned that he had frequently spoken in favor of the NDC and criticized the NPP during his broadcasts. When his boss, Fadda Dickson, became aware of Agya Kwabena’s actions, it reportedly raised concerns among UTV management. They began to believe the accusations of him being biased and acting as an NDC communicator, leading to his removal from the weekday show and his placement on a Saturday morning slot.
PK Sarpong’s post seems to confirm suspicions that Agya Kwabena’s drop in prominence was a result of his political bias and unprofessional conduct.
