Assin South MP Rev. John Ntim Fordjour has thanked former Vice President Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia for his solidarity following what he described as a politically motivated act of harassment.
On Wednesday, April 9, operatives from the National Investigations Bureau reportedly stormed the residence of the Ranking Member on Parliament’s Defence and Interior Committee, in an incident he claims was an attempt to intimidate him.

The operation, however, was thwarted by members of the minority New Patriotic Party (NPP), who intervened to prevent the raid.
Taking to X (formerly Twitter), Fordjour accused the National Democratic Congress (NDC) government of targeting opposition lawmakers in an effort to suppress their oversight duties.
