The President’s nominee for the District Chief Executive (DCE) position for Bodi in the Western North Region, Stephen Baidoo, has been overwhelmingly endorsed by the 16 assembly members.
He secured all the votes cast, representing a unanimous 100 per cent endorsement by the assembly members.
In his acceptance speech, Mr Baidoo expressed his gratitude to President John Dramani Mahama and the National Democratic Congress government for their trust in him.
He promised to serve the district diligently and support the party’s agenda to drive development in the Bodi District.
The DCE expressed his appreciation to the national, regional, constituency executives, the Western Regional Minister and assembly members for the confidence reposed in him.
He assured them of his commitment and dedication towards the resetting agenda and the fulfilment of the aspirations of the people.
The Western North Regional Minister, Wilbert Petty Brentum, expressed his readiness to support the new DCE to fight against illegal mining activities in the area.
