Anthony Joshua us a British heavyweight boxer
Exactly what it feels like to be a superstar and now he’s comparing that feeling to basketball legend Michael Jordan.
British heavyweight boxer Anthony Joshua has been keeping himself in shape during his time away from the ring. The boxer, who is currently in Nigeria, shared footage of himself running through the streets of Lagos.
While running, he waved at fans who stood in large numbers as he passed by. However, the crowds grew bigger as he continued his journey down the road, with fans filming and running to keep up with him.
The former two-time heavyweight world champion, through his caption, drew a parallel between himself and legendary athletes while revealing his passion, legacy, and connection to the people.
“I love the game. I love the hustle. I feel like one of them ball players, you know? Like Bird, Magic, James, Jordan, Kobe, or something. You know I got dough, I could leave the game… But if I leave… are the fans still gonna love me, man? I get love out here in the streets, man,” the post read.
The 35-year-old Olympic gold medalist hasn’t fought since suffering a knockout defeat to Daniel Dubois in September 2024, a result that sparked plenty of debate about what comes next for him.
Despite the setback, the video shows Joshua’s determination to bounce back and reclaim his spot at the top of the heavyweight division.
