Kadjebi (O/R), April 03, GNA – Assembly Members of the Jasikan Municipal Assembly in the Oti Region have voted to confirm the Municipal Chief Executive (MCE) nominee, Mr. Parke-Davis Magyigbe.
Of the 39 Assembly members present and voting, Mr. Magyigbe secured 33 YES votes, representing 84.6 per cent, with six NO votes.
Before the polls, Mr. John Kwadwo Gyapong, Oti Regional Minister, urged the Assembly Members to vote and confirm the nominee for the development of the municipality.
He emphasised that the development of the Municipality should be paramount to everyone rather than serving parochial interests.
In his acceptance speech, Mr. Magyigbe commended the Assembly Members for confirming him and pledged to uphold values of transparency, accountability, and unwavering service to the Municipality.
He also promised to address the challenges they face and strive for progress and unity as they reset the Jasikan Municipality.
