President John Dramani Mahama is set to participate in the 2025 Africa Energy Technology Conference (AETC), which will take place in Accra from May 27 to May 29, 2025.

The event will bring together global energy leaders to drive crucial conversations, forge innovative partnerships, and redefine Africa’s energy future.

As Ghana continues to position itself as a hub for innovation and investment, the conference reinforces its pivotal role in shaping the continent’s sustainable energy journey.

President Mahama’s involvement highlights Ghana’s dedication to advancing energy technology, promoting sustainable development, and attracting transformative investments.

As a strong advocate for energy security and renewable infrastructure expansion, his leadership is expected to be instrumental in discussions on energy policies, financing, and regional collaboration.

The theme of AETC 2025, “INNOVATE, INVEST, IMPLEMENT: REVOLUTIONIZED FINANCING FOR SUSTAINABLE ENERGY GROWTH IN AFRICA,” will help experts unlock new financing models and lay the foundation for strategic policies that accelerate Africa’s path to energy independence.

The conference will be attended by prominent figures, including:

Omar Farouk Ibrahim, Secretary-General of the African Petroleum Producers Organization (APPO), John Abdulai Jinapor, Ghana’s Minister of Energy and Green Transition and among others in the energy industry.

Founder and President of AETC, Emelia Akumah, commended President Mahama’s participation, calling it the beginning of Africa’s energy renaissance.
