Mahama Best Friend Humbles Afenyo Markin and NPP MPs As She Gives Brilliant Submission

The Majority Leader in Parliament, Mahama Ayariga, has issued a stern warning to the Minority Leader, Alexander Afenyo-Markin, urging him to conduct himself appropriately during parliamentary proceedings.

The warning came in response to a statement made by Afenyo-Markin, in which he criticized the ruling National Democratic Congress (NDC) for failing to fulfill its campaign promises. The remark did not sit well with NDC Members of Parliament (MPs), leading to a heated exchange on the parliamentary floor.

Reacting to the comments, Majority Leader Ayariga took the floor after catching the Speaker’s attention and called for mutual respect among lawmakers.

“The Minority Leader should learn to behave properly in this chamber. Please, let’s treat each other with respect. You cannot stand here, throw your hands around, and point at us while saying we don’t keep our promises. The budget has just been presented; we have not yet considered it or approved it for implementation. You cannot always stand up and talk as if you are superior to everyone in this chamber. Let this be the last time,” Ayariga asserted.

The exchange highlights ongoing tensions between the Majority and Minority caucuses as parliamentary debates intensify over key national issues, including the recently presented budget.

Political analysts suggest that such confrontations could influence legislative proceedings and public perception of parliamentary discourse as both sides remain firmly rooted in their positions.

As debates continue, the Speaker of Parliament is expected to ensure decorum and order in the House to foster productive deliberations on national development matters.
