President John Dramani Mahama
National Democratic Congress (NDC) Member of Parliament for Lambussie, Professor Titus Beyuo has commended President John Dramani Mahama for what he describes as a rare display of honesty and commitment in governance.
He argued that Mahama’s leadership stands out because he follows through on his promises, a quality that should not be taken for granted.
“The credit is that you have a leader who says A and does A. He is faithful to the people of Ghana, sincere, and honest. We cannot take that as ordinary,” he stated.
Comparing Mahama’s governance to previous administrations, Prof. Beyuo criticized leaders who made promises they later failed to fulfill.
He noted that even Members of Parliament from a past government publicly demanded certain commitments from their leader, only to be ignored.
He highlighted Mahama’s decision to reduce the number of ministers as a clear example of his commitment to keeping his word.
“This is a man who promised 60 ministers. Today, he’s at 54. He hasn’t even reached 60. Others in the past made similar promises but later admitted they couldn’t fulfil them and instead increased the numbers,” he pointed out in an interview on GHOne TV.
