Emeritus Professor Kwasi Kwafo Adarkwa, a renowned urban planner and former Vice Chancellor of the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST), has successfully launched his autobiography, “Against All Odds”.
The book aims to inspire and encourage readers, particularly the younger generation, to remain resilient and persevere in the face of adversity.
Speaking in an interview with Citi News, Emeritus Professor Adarkwa explained that through “Against All Odds”, he urges readers to step out of their comfort zones and strive for excellence, regardless of the challenges they encounter.
The book was officially launched on March 20, 2025, at KNUST. It chronicles his experiences as Vice Chancellor of the university, his involvement in key national infrastructure projects such as the Tema-Mpakadan railway project, the Volta Lake transport system, and the Pokuase Interchange, as well as his early life and the challenges he overcame to reach his current status.
“I was inspired to write this book because of the bitter experiences I faced—what I call the odds. But through resilience and the grace of God, I became Vice Chancellor of KNUST. There are many lessons in this book for the youth and anyone who reads it, to help them persevere in all difficulties,” he stated.
The book is available in key bookshops across the country.
