Parliament has approved the sum of 3.2 billion Ghana Cedis for the Ministry of Roads and Highways for the year 2025.
The Ghana Highway Authority, under the Ministry, aims to recruit 137 staff to make up for the shortfall from the creation of new regions and the establishment of regional offices as part of the decentralization of its operations.
The Ministry is also expected to dualize and improve safety on major trunk roads in the country and continue the ongoing construction of the 4 by-passes on the Accra Kumasi Highway at Osino, Anyinam, Enyiresi, and Konongo.
