The Ashanti Regional Minister, Dr. Frank Amoakohene, has announced plans to improve vehicular access and prevent unauthorized activities in the adjacent Adum PZ area, which was not affected by the blaze.
This is in response to the recent fire incident at Adum Blue Light on Friday, March 21, which caused extensive damage to several shops, prompting an immediate response from the Ghana National Fire Service (GNFS), who worked diligently to contain and extinguish the flames.
According to a statement issued on Sunday, March 23, the Ashanti Regional Coordinating Council (ARCC) aims to enhance accessibility and reduce the risk of fire incidents caused by human activities through this initiative.
To ensure smooth implementation, security personnel will be deployed. The ARCC called for the public’s full cooperation. The initiative is set to commence on Monday, March 24.
The ARCC emphasizes the importance of these measures in safeguarding the community and preventing future incidents.
Residents and business owners in the area are encouraged to adhere to the new guidelines to promote safety and accessibility.
