Charlotte Osei, the former Chairperson of the Electoral Commission, has hit back at Gabby Otchere-Darko over allegations concerning the land she owns. The dispute began when MP Samuel Okudzeto Ablakwa accused Gabby and his wife of seizing state lands to establish their media business. Gabby rejected these accusations, presenting evidence in his defense.
In response, Gabby redirected the conversation, challenging Ablakwa to investigate how John Mahama allegedly removed public servants from land near Asaase Radio, paving the way for Charlotte Osei to occupy it.
Osei did not take kindly to this claim and swiftly called Gabby out for spreading falsehoods. She insisted that she legally purchased her land in a commercial deal in 2007 and cautioned him against involving her in his political battles.
“You complain about lies being spread about you, yet you turn around and spread blatant lies about others. If you believe Ablakwa is wrong, take legal action—I’d be happy to do the same. I have never benefited from public land. Check your facts. I bought my land through a commercial transaction in 2007. Gabby, stop spreading falsehoods and keep me out of your nonsense. You know the truth, and this is unfair,” she posted on Twitter.
