The Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST) has reiterated its dedication to ensuring justice is served in the ongoing murder case of Miss Joana Deladem Yabani.
In a statement released on March 17, 2025, the university provided an update on the case, revealing that the prosecution team has submitted an amended charge sheet and an autopsy report to the court.
However, the court noted that advice from the Attorney-General’s Office is still pending. To expedite the process, the court has directed the police prosecution team to collaborate with the Attorney-General’s Office.
Master Daniel Tuffuor, a final-year student and the prime suspect in the alleged murder of his girlfriend, has been remanded for the second time.
The case has been adjourned to April 1, 2025, to allow for the Attorney-General’s advice and further legal proceedings.
KNUST’s management emphasised its commitment to justice, assuring the bereaved family and stakeholders that the university will continue to monitor the case closely.
