The Benkumhene of Gomoa Amanful, Nana Abena Etruba I, and wife of Ghanaian media personality Kofi Adomah Nwanwanii has expressed frustration at the Dormaahene, Dr Agyemang Badu II, for his perceived silence regarding her husband’s predicament.

Addressing the press on March 13, 2025, during her husband’s first public appearance after being shot in the eye, Nana Abena Etruba I stated that the Dormaahene should understand the existence of God and that, despite being a Christian, she has faith in the stool of the Dormaahene will eventually speak.

Kofi Adomah’s wife, while bitterly lamenting the neglect they have faced from the Dormahene, despite the fact that Kofi’s predicament was caused by his people in Dormaa, expressed a firm belief that the powers of the stool would eventually speak for her husband.

“Dormaahene should understand that there is a God. He should understand that I am born into Christianity and there is a God. I know a God who speaks for people who are voiceless but I have a voice and can speak. I decided to keep quiet. Now I’m on a stool and I believe on Dormaahene’s stool that they will speak for him,” she said.

Expressing her grievances further, Nana Abena Etruba I added that, despite everything, she is compelled to forgive the Dormahene, as her beliefs teach her to do.

However, she emphasised that the issue with her husband is not about money, but rather about prioritising his well-being.

She reiterated that the stool would eventually speak for Kofi Adomah, who is also a native of Dormaa.

“I know at the right time, the stool of Nana Dormaahene will speak for their royal, Kofi Adoma Nwanwanii and because of that, I have forgiven them. I am telling him if he goes to church and that is if he does, he should tell God that we said we have forgiven him and it’s not all about money.”

“I will not talk but there is God. Unless the stool he sits on does not belong to him but if it really does belong to him, the powers of the stool will speak. I leave everything to Dormaahene’s stool that the power in his stool that his ancestors have never spoken for will speak and he should understand that,” she stated.

Kofi Adoma Nwanwanii, a renowned journalist, was tragically shot in the eye during the firing of a musketry at a traditional event at the Dormaahene’s palace in December 2024.
