President John Dramani Mahama has sworn in newly appointed deputy ministers, including John Dumelo, Deputy Minister of Food and Agriculture and Alhassan Suhuyini, Deputy Minister of Roads and Highways.
The swearing-in ceremony took place at the Jubilee House on Wednesday, March 12, following their successful vetting and approval by Parliament. The new deputy ministers are expected to assist their respective sector ministers in implementing government policies and initiatives.
President Mahama urged the appointees to serve with diligence and uphold the interests of the Ghanaian people.
He emphasized the importance of teamwork and commitment to national development.
John Dumelo and Alhassan Suhuyini, along with the other deputy ministers, pledged to work diligently to support the government’s agenda.
The newly sworn-in deputy ministers include:
-Justice Srem-Sai-Deputy Minister for the Ministry of Justice and Attorney General
-Ernest Brogya Gyenfi, Deputy Minister for the Defence Ministry
-Thomas Nyarko Ampem, Deputy Minister for Finance.
-Alhassan Suhuyini, Deputy Minister for Roads and Highways
-John Dumelo, Deputy Minister of Food and Agriculture
-Dr Clement Apaak, Deputy Minister, Education
-Sampson Ahi- Deputy Minister, Trade, Agribusiness and Industry
– Ebenezer Okletey Terlabi, Deputy Minister for the Interior
-Richard Gyan-Mensah, Deputy Minister for Energy and Green Transition
-Yusif Sulemana, Deputy Minister for Lands and Natural Resources
-Yussif Issaka Jajah, Deputy Minister for Tourism, Culture and Creative Arts
-Rita Naa Odoley Sowah Local Government, Chieftaincy & Religious Affairs
-Gizella Tettey-Agbotui Works, Housing and Water Resources
-Lydia Akanvariba -Minister of State for Public Sector Reforms
