2025 Heritage Caravan ‘docks’ at Maaha Beach Resort

The 2025 Heritage Caravan, organized by Channel One TV and Citi FM, made a significant dock at the Maaha Beach Resort in Atuabo, Western Region, as part of its nationwide tour celebrating Ghana’s rich cultural heritage.

The Caravanites will stay at the Maaha Beach till they return to Accra on Sunday, March 9.

Participants visited the Kwame Nkrumah Memorial Home and Museum in Nkroful, gaining insights into the life of Ghana’s first President. They also stopped at a GOIL filling station in Tarkwa, reflecting the support from sponsors like GOIL PLC.

In the evening, attendees will gather by the beach, engaging in activities such as collecting shells and swimming. The day will be concluded with a lively nightclub session featuring DJ Mingle, allowing participants to dance and celebrate.

Hollard Insurance sponsored the activities on Friday, March 7, underscoring the event’s collaborative nature. On Thursday, March 6, participants visited the Ghana Armed Forces Museum in Kumasi, further enriching their cultural experience.

The Heritage Caravan aims to foster a deeper understanding and appreciation of Ghana’s cultural diversity. Each year, it attracts a diverse group of participants eager to uncover the hidden gems of Ghana.

This year’s Caravan, which began on March 2, 2025, and will continue until March 9, 2025, spans 14 of Ghana’s regions. Starting in the Greater Accra Region, the journey includes stops in the Volta Region, Northern Region, Ashanti Region, and many more. Each destination was carefully selected to highlight the unique culture, cuisine, and attractions of the area.

From guided tours and cultural performances to culinary delights and engaging with local communities, the Caravan provides a comprehensive and immersive experience.

Participants, affectionately known as “Caravanites,” have expressed their enthusiasm for the journey. The event has also garnered support from various sponsors and regional authorities, further enhancing its success.

The Heritage Caravan is supported by a range of sponsors, including the National Lotteries Authority (NLA), Hollard Insurance, OmniBSIC, Appolonia City, Standard Water, Peeva Beverages, GB Foods, and GOIL PLC, with the Ghana Tourism Authority as a partner.
