Bekwai MP Ralph Poku-Adusei, wife commiserate with IGP at mother-in-law’s burial

Over the weekend, the Member of Parliament for Bekwai Constituency, Ralph Poku-Adusei, and his wife, Gloria Poku-Adusei, attended the funeral of Mrs. Joan Kpentey, the mother-in-law of the Inspector General of Police (IGP), Dr. Akuffo Dampare.

The burial ceremony took place in Vakpo-Todzi, a community in the Volta Region, where family, friends, and dignitaries gathered to pay their last respects.

The Poku-Aduseis joined Dr. Akuffo Dampare and his family in mourning the loss of Mrs. Kpentey, offering their condolences and support during this difficult time.

In a photograph from the event, Ralph Poku-Adusei is seen wearing a black traditional outfit with white accents, while Gloria Poku-Adusei donned an elegant white gown.

They stood alongside the Inspector General of Police, who wore a white shirt.

Prior to entering mainstream politics, Ralph Poku-Adusei, who was elected in December 2024 under the New Patriotic Party (NPP), practiced law for over 14 years.

The late Mrs. Joan Kpentey, also known as Joana Semanu Ama Akploekpoe, was born in Jasikan on November 23, 1957. She passed away on Friday, December 6, 2024, at the age of 68.

She is survived by her spouse, Mr. Winfred Kpentey, a retired High Court Judge, three children; Anita, Hilda, and John and sixteen grandchildren, including nine adopted ones.
