According to GhanaWeb, Prof. Kobby Mensah, a lecturer in political marketing and the Chief Executive Officer of the Ghana Tourism Development Company, has revealed that he used to hold a card for the National Democratic Congress (NDC).
During a discussion on Joy FM in Accra, he mentioned that while he once had an NDC card, he was not particularly active in the party.
“I’ve had an NDC card in the past, but I haven’t been ardent, if I should put it that way,” he said.
As a political marketing expert, Prof. Mensah has been vocal in his criticism of the government led by Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo.
He expressed that his ideological stance leans towards the left, despite conducting significant research on the New Patriotic Party (NPP) and its campaign tactics over the years.
He elaborated on his political beliefs, stating that if party affiliation is viewed through the lens of ideology, he would align more closely with the NDC.
However, he acknowledged that membership could be interpreted differently, particularly in terms of holding a party card.
Ultimately, he affirmed that his ideological leanings are distinctly left-oriented.
