On Friday, March 7, 2025, the Parliament of Ghana approved all pending ministerial and deputy ministerial nominees of President John Dramani Mahama.
The approved nominees, who are now set to be sworn into office, comprise 13 deputy minister-designates and one Minister of State-designate, most recently nominated by President Mahama.
They include Lydia Lamisi Akanvariba, Minister of State for Public Sector Reforms; Dr. Clement Apaak, Deputy Minister of Education-designate; Richard Gyan Mensah, Deputy Minister of Energy-designate; and John Dumelo, Deputy Minister of Food and Agriculture-designate.
Others are Alhassan Suhuyini, Deputy Minister of Roads and Highways-designate; Justice Sai, Deputy Attorney General and Minister of Justice-designate; and Yusif Sulemana, Deputy Minister of Lands and Natural Resources-designate.
The remaining nominees are Yusif Isaka Jajah, Deputy Minister of Tourism, Culture, and Creative Arts-designate; Rita Naa Odorley Sowah, Deputy Minister of Local Government, Chieftaincy, and Religious Affairs-designate; Gizella Tetteh, Deputy Minister of Works, Housing, and Water Resources-designate; and Ernest Brogya Genfi, Deputy Minister of Defence-designate.
