Former Member of Parliament of Hohoe, John Peter Amewu
Some unidentified gunmen have reportedly invaded the private residence of former Hohoe Member of Parliament, John Peter Amewu, on Wednesday, March 5, 2025.
According to multiple reports, one of the assailants claimed that they were acting on orders from above.
They stated that the former lawmaker was not properly elected as a Member of Parliament for Hohoe in the 2020 parliamentary election.
The gunmen reportedly fired some warning shots at his residence in Hohoe, leading to a confrontation with some residents.
According to the reports, the former MP was not at home at the time of their visit.
Meanwhile the incident has been reported to the police.
