Nana Agyeiwaa Paamu II, the Omanhemaa of the Tepa Traditional Area in the Ashanti region, has revealed that the Asantehene, Otumfuo Osei Tutu II, is spiritually fortified.
According to the Queen Mother, Otumfuo derives his immense spiritual power from the Ashanti Golden Stool (Sikadwa) on which he sits.
She emphasized that this sacred stool is the source of his spiritual strength and influence.
Speaking in an interview on Pure FM on February 28, 2025, Nana Agyeiwaa Paamu II claimed that Otumfuo has the ability to foresee people’s intentions before they even visit the Manhyia Palace.
“For Opemsuo, those things make him who he is. There are spirits behind him. No matter who you are, when you get closer to him, you will be humbled,” she stated.
“It is the Sikadwa, the power behind it. Before you approach him, he already knows where you are coming from.”
When asked if she possesses similar spiritual power, she humorously replied, “For me, I don’t even have paracetamol.”
