Okatakyire Afrifa Mensah, the host of For the Records, says he will petition the diplomatic community in Ghana over what he described as threats on his life by leading members of the President John Dramani Mahama-led administration.
The media broadcaster and personality made serious allegations against the National Security, accusing them of employing intimidating tactics. In a post on his Facebook wall, Okatakyie Afrifa Mensah claimed that he received intelligence informing him that National Security operatives had stormed the country’s airport looking for him.
According to him, he had no knowledge of the intentions behind the search for him, by the National Security operatives, particularly at the Airport.
Speaking on his For the Records show, Okatakyie Afrifa Mensah stated that his lawyers would inform the diplomatic community in Ghana about the threat on his life.
He mentioned that such intimidating tactics will not cowed him into silence, expressing his readiness to face any challenge that comes his way as he embarks on a desperate mission to demand good governance from the John Dramani Mahama-led administration.
He stressed that in this day and age, such archaic tactics should not be deployed by a government to silence critics.
“I will petition the diplomatic community in Ghana over the threat on my life from the NDC and John Mahama’s government led by Jakpa,” he said.Â
Meanwhile, National Security has not officially commented on the allegations by Okatakyie Afrifa Mensah. The loud silence of the National Security is worrying to sections of the public who want the respected institution to set the records straight.
