In a series of bold and unverified allegations, journalist Kevin Taylor has raised concerns about Jake Okyere Bediako’s ties to the ruling New Patriotic Party (NPP) and President Nana Akufo-Addo. Taylor claims that Bediako, whom he identifies as the younger brother of prominent NPP member Gabby Otchere-Darko, has often been seen with the President, allegedly part of an “invisible delegation” accompanying him.
Taylor suggests that Bediako plays a key role in managing logistics and public relations for important visits, particularly those involving international dignitaries. He claims that Bediako oversees a specific budget for such events, raising questions about the use and oversight of public funds.
One notable instance mentioned by Taylor is the visit of American rapper Meek Mill to the Jubilee House, Ghana’s presidential palace. He asserts that Bediako and Gyankroma Akufo-Addo, the President’s daughter, were heavily involved in organizing this visit, which has faced criticism for seeming out of place amid pressing national concerns.
Taylor also hints at a potential scheme involving properties owned by Gabby Otchere-Darko, suggesting that they are registered under Bediako’s name to conceal the true ownership.
Furthermore, Taylor claims that an office was created for Bediako at the Jubilee House to manage Diaspora Affairs, with access to additional funds, some of which he suggests may have been redirected to his office.
“These guys—Gabby’s younger brother, Jake Okyere Bediako—was always part of the invisible delegation whenever Akufo-Addo traveled. He was in charge of foreign dignitaries visiting Ghana and had a full budget for it. The Meek Mill visit to Jubilee House? It was this guy and Gyankroma. Most of Gabby’s properties are registered in this guy’s name. They even created a special office for him at the Jubilee House for Diaspora Affairs. The excess funds allocated to Jubilee House—some went to his office,” Taylor claimed.
