“Nations FC want to reach the level of Asante Kotoko” – Says CEO Kwame Twumasi Danquah

Chief Executive Officer of Nations FC, Kwame Twumasi Danquah, has revealed that the club’s long-term ambition is to establish itself among Ghana’s football elite, with the goal of reaching the heights of giants Asante Kotoko.

Nations FC has made remarkable progress since its inception, earning promotion to the Ghana Premier League after just one season in the Division One League.

Now in their second top-flight campaign, they remain in the title race, just a few points off the top spot. After 19 matches this season, the club sits fifth on the league table with 32 points, having recorded nine wins, five draws, and five losses.

Speaking in an interview with Opemsuo Radio, Twumasi Danquah expressed the club’s desire to emulate Kotoko’s success while outlining their immediate target of winning the league and securing a spot in the CAF Champions League.

“We want to reach the level of Kotoko. In our first season in Division One, we qualified for the Premier League, and now we are aiming to win the title and play in Africa,” he stated.

With the league currently on a temporary break, Nations FC remains in camp, working on strengthening the squad for the resumption of the season as they continue their pursuit of domestic and continental success.
