Pearl Nkrumah appointed chair of GSE Council

The Ghana Stock Exchange has announced the appointment of Pearl Nkrumah as Chairperson of the Council of the GSE

Her appointment follows the resignation of John Kofi Adomakoh as Chairman of the CouncilĀ  after stepping down as Managing Director of GCB Bank PLC in January 2025.

Pearl Nkrumah, who has been a member of the GSE Council since September 2023, brings over 25 years of experience in the banking sector.

She currently serves as the Executive Director for Retail and Digital Banking at Access Bank Ghana, where she has played a key role in driving digital transformation and retail growth.

Her academic credentials include an MBA and a BSc in Business Administration from the University of Ghana, along with an LLB from the Ghana Institute of Management and Public Administration.

She also holds a diploma in corporate governance from the Corporate Governance Institute in the UK and has undergone executive training at Harvard Business School.

With her appointment taking effect from February 21, 2025, PearlĀ  Nkrumah is expected to provide strategic leadership to the Ghana Stock Exchange, reinforcing its position in the countryā€™s financial market. The GSE has expressed confidence in her ability to guide the institutionā€™s growth and innovation.
