Gomoa Awombrew lauds Obrempong Nyanful Krampah XI for unwavering support

Gomoa Awombrew (C/R), Feb 28, GNA – The Chiefs and the People of Gomoa Awombrew in the Central Region have applauded the Paramount Chief of Gomoa Ajumako Traditional Area, Obrempong Nyanful Krampah XI for his exemplary contributions and financial support to the development of the town.

According to the chiefs, Nana Nyanful Krampah, a native of Awombrew deserved a special mention for honour as far as infrastructural and human transformation were concerned.

Mr Isaac Abeiku Taylor, the 2025 Chairperson of the Akwambo Planning Committee of Gomoa Awombrew, made the commendation to the media to climax the durbar of chiefs and people at Awombrew where he named high profile personalities who had supported development projects undertaken with the name of Obrempong Nyanful Krampah being number one on the list.

Mr Taylor enumerated a few projects the Paramount Chief had supported to include bundles of roofing sheets he donated to complete a modern community centre, which was to be commissioned soon, the provision of places of convenience and the extension of electricity to newly developed communities in the town.

The Planning committee Chairman praised the former Member of Parliament for Gomoa Central, Mrs Naana Eyiah Quansah for presenting eight bundles of roofing sheets donated for the community centre project.

He said similarly, the current MP, Mr Kwame Asare Obeng had also given the Awombrew community some support towards infrastructural development and many others.

Mr Taylor praised the inhabitants of Awombrew for the payment of the 2025 Akwambo Development levy of GHC 20 per male and GHC 10 per female for residents at home, and GHC 30 per female and GHC40 per male for those living outside for project implementation.

Mr Taylor advised the youth, particularly girls, to abstain from premarital sex to enable them to pursue education to become responsible adults in future.

He admonished them to desist from drug abuse and other immoral acts that could truncate their education and learning of motor skills, adding that education was the master key to economic and better financial position.

Mr Isaac Ninsin Asare, Assemblyman for Awombrew /Oguaakrom, Nsuaem Electoral Area appealed to the people to get involved in the developmental efforts of the town.

He said the people could not solely depend on the Central government, the District Assembly, or the MP to initiate development projects or programmes but they must initiate projects and later solicit assistance.

The Assemblyman reiterated calls on the Ghana Water Limited to extend pipelines to the newly developed sites of the town to reduce acute shortage of water supply and renewed appeals to ECG to fix another transformer at Gomoa Awombrew and its enclave to increase voltage and improve sufficient extension to augment electricity supply.

Mr Asare called on the inhabitants of the electoral area to rally support behind President John Mahama’s government to ensure efficient and effective policies and programmes to inure to the benefit of the people.
