President John Dramani Mahama is set to deliver the 2025 State of the Nation Address (SONA) in Parliament, marking the first of his second term.
During this address, he will outline his administration’s achievements over the past 50 days in office, highlight the challenges faced so far, and present his plans for the year ahead.
This address is a constitutional mandate under Article 67 of the 1992 Constitution, requiring the president to share his vision for the country with the people of Ghana.
Dressed in a traditional smock, symbolizing his dedication to Ghanaian heritage, President Mahama began the SONA by inspecting a parade at Parliament.
Following the inspection, he proceeded into the chamber to deliver his speech to the members of the house and the nation at large.
