Accra, Feb 27, GNA – The Goldbod Technical Committee led by Mr Sammy Gyamfi, the Acting Managing Director of the Precious Minerals Marketing Company (PMMC), has engaged small-scale miners and gold dealers at Akyem Tafo in the Eastern Region, over the proposed Goldbond.
A statement issued by Goldbod Technical Committee, and copied to the Ghana News Agency, said the purpose of the programme was to educate small-scale miners and gold dealers on the policy rationale, objects, functions and regulations of the soon to be established Goldbod and seek their inputs into the Bill for its establishment.
It said participants expressed their appreciation for the broad consultative approach adopted by the Technical Committee and pledged their support for the Goldbod initiative.
