Gospel musician, Uncle Ato
Gospel musician and ordained minister, Uncle Ato, originally known as Rev. Alexander Bruce Ghartey, has stated that he would need to pray and seek God’s guidance before collaborating with a secular musician.
The man of God, who has six albums to his credit along with several singles, is currently working on his seventh album. He noted that if God gives him direction, he will not hesitate to collaborate with secular musicians.
He made this statement during a recent interview with Sokoohemaa Kukua on Rainbow Radio 87.5FM’s mid-morning show.
When asked if he was willing to collaborate with secular musicians, he responded, “This is not something I have considered, and none of them have approached me about a project. But if they do, I will consider it. When you compose a song, you can often tell who could enhance it through collaboration. That’s how it works.”
He further explained, “If a secular musician approaches me, I will reflect on it, pray about it, and seek God’s guidance. I’ll think it through and evaluate the purpose of the song. If, after doing so, I find that it is meaningful and has a positive impact on lives, then why not?”
Speaking on the benefits he has gained from music, Uncle Ato stated that music has given him several opportunities to travel the world. While these benefits may not be as significant as some might assume, he expressed satisfaction with what he has achieved through his musical career.
