The Minister for Communication, Digital Technology, and Innovations Samuel Nartey George has directed the Acting Director-General of the National Communications Authority (NCA), Rev. Ing. Edmund Yirenkyi Fianko to submit a comprehensive list of all frequency authorizations issued or renewed in the past 60 days.
This directive is in line with the government’s Operation Recover All Loot initiative, aimed at reclaiming State resources that have been allocated to private entities through unlawful or improper means.
The Minister emphasized the importance of ensuring that all assets within the Ministry’s jurisdiction are managed under legal and procedural guidelines for the benefit of the State.
In a statement issued on Wednesday, February 12, the minister revealed that the audit marks the first phase of a broader review of frequency authorizations to bring order and transparency to the broadcasting sector.
The Ministry has assured the public that further actions will be communicated once the information is reviewed.
