NANA POOLEY’S DEATH: Ex-Kotoko security declares war on Kurt Okraku and his administration

Staunch Asante Kotoko supporter, Seidu Mba has declared war on the Ghana Football Association following the death of late supporter, Francis Yaw Frimpong, widely known as Nana Pooley.

Pooley was stabbed by unknown assailants during the Matchday 19 game between Nsoatreman FC and Kotoko at the Nana Kronmansah Park.

His death has left Ghana football in a state of mourning with the police service opening an investigation to bring the perpetrators to book.

Reacting to the incident, the former Asante Kotoko security has hit back at the FA boss for not promptly returning to Ghana to address the incident.

“It will be give and take between me and Kurt Okraku in the coming days when I return to Ghana. It won’t be good news because of his hatred against Kotoko. The GFA makes money when Kotoko plays as well the other teams who make money at home.”

“I am concerned over Kurt Okraku’s decision to stay outside the country whiles a staunch supporter has been stabbed. He should have returned home with a private jet when the news came because the club [Kotoko] helps them to make the GFA,” Seidu told Otec FM.

The incident involving Pooley has sparked widespread condemnation of violence in football, with many calling for increased measures to ensure the safety of fans at matches.

Meanwhile, the FA has decided to put on hold the next round of matches in the Ghana Premier League (GPL) until further notice.
