The Operation Recover All Loot (ORAL) Committee is set to present its final report to President John Dramani Mahama next week, as part of efforts to investigate corruption and recover stolen public resources.
The committee, tasked with validating claims of misappropriated state funds, has so far processed over 700 petitions from the public.
President Mahama stated that the report would be forwarded to investigative bodies for further action.
“Those currently in office should know that they will be held to the same standard as we are holding the past regime. Next week, the ORAL Committee will present its report to me, and I will refer it to the investigative agencies to begin their work against those who have misappropriated the nation’s resources,” the President said during his thank-you tour in the Central Region.
Meanwhile, on the stalled Komenda Sugar Factory project, the President has directed the Minister of Trade, Agribusiness, and Industry to provide a detailed report on its status to facilitate its completion.
“We are determined to continue with the project so that the Central Region can become Ghana’s leading producer of sugar,” he stated.
