Ghanaian comic actor Mmebusem, popularly known as Ghana Jesus, has responded to critics mocking his wife’s appearance following their recent wedding.
In an interview, the actor expressed his disappointment at the negative comments, particularly those accusing him of marrying an older woman for financial gain.
Since tying the knot last week, Mmebusem has seen several social media users referring to his wife as Kasongo, a derogatory term implying she is unattractive. Addressing these remarks, he confidently defended his wife’s beauty, stating, “My wife is prettier than those making fun of her.”
He went on to dismiss claims that his wife is older than him, clarifying that he is actually much older than her. According to Mmebusem, age has never been a factor in their love, and he remains unbothered by the opinions of outsiders.
“When I met her, she never wore makeup, so I have always seen her natural face and loved her for it,” he added, stressing that his love for his wife goes beyond superficial appearances.
Despite the negativity, Mmebusem remains focused on his marriage, making it clear that he values his wife for who she is, rather than how others perceive her.
