Nkawie (Ash) Jan 31, GNA- Members of the Atwima Nwabiagya South District Cadres’ Front of the NDC have pledged their support to the three Municipal Chief Executive (MCE) aspirants, who have been shortlisted for the consideration of the President by the vetting committee.
The three are Mr Derrick Owusu Boateng, Mr Wisdom Boamah and Mr Peter Boakye.
The group at their first meeting at Nkawie, after the December election, said the three shortlisted candidates were true members of the party and each of them qualified for the position of the Municipal District Chief Executive.
Mr Yahaya Zakaria-Cisse, Chairperson of the group speaking at the event described the three candidates as “committed workers and true members of the party in the area and therefore, can be trusted and supported by the group.”
He congratulated President John Dramani Mahama on his election as the President of Ghana.
Mr Zakaria-Cisse expressed satisfaction in President Mahama’s appointments made so far and was hopeful that the various development initiatives of the government would help improve the life and living conditions of Ghanaians.
He called for unity, co-operation, and support for whoever would be selected as the MCE for the area to help ensure the speedy development of the area.
