President John Mahama has arrived back in Ghana after a busy diplomatic tour that saw him attend key summits and meet with African leaders.

He landed at Kotoka International Airport, where top government officials warmly received him.

Mahama first traveled to Kenya for the African Union (AU) Summit, where he joined other heads of state in discussing continental challenges, including peace, security, and economic integration.

During the summit, he emphasized Ghana’s commitment to strengthening African unity and called for increased cooperation in trade and development.

From Kenya, Mahama proceeded to Tanzania for the Africa Energy Summit. There, he engaged with industry leaders and policymakers on ways to enhance energy production and access across the continent.

Ghana’s push for renewable energy and sustainable power solutions was a key part of his discussions, with Mahama highlighting the need for strategic investments in the energy sector.

As part of his tour, Mahama also made a stop in Angola, where he held bilateral talks with President Joao Lourenço.

Their meeting focused on deepening Ghana-Angola relations, particularly in trade, energy, and regional security. Both leaders reaffirmed their commitment to fostering stronger ties between their nations.

His return marks the end of a crucial diplomatic mission aimed at advancing Ghana’s interests on the continental stage.

Government officials praised Mahama’s efforts, noting that his engagements would help position Ghana as a key player in Africa’s political and economic future.
