Accra, Jan 30, GNA – Proceedings at Parliament’s Appointments Committee sitting were disrupted on Thursday night due to a heated disagreement the number of nominees to vet.
The session descended in to chaos as members exchanged insults, overturned tables, and damaged microphones.
It took Mr Mahama Ayariga, Majority Leader and policemen to bring some sanity to the hall.
“Please let us not destroy the enviable image that Ghana has created in terms of our democracy”, Mr Mahama Ayariga, the Majority Leader told the Committee members.
