Prophet Kofi Oduro, the head pastor of the Alabaster International Ministry, is among the many well-known individuals who have taken notice of the recent terrible shooting incident in Obuasi that has shocked Ghanaians. In a passionate address at a church service, Prophet Oduro advised Ghanaians to seek divine intervention while taking proactive measures to maintain safety, expressing his profound concern over the nation’s rising level of insecurity.
According to Prophet Oduro, the Obuasi event was a tragic representation of moral deterioration and the growing tide of violence afflicting society. In order to minimize societal evils, the outspoken preacher urged Ghanaians to embrace principles like love, tolerance, and respect for human life. He also urged officials to bolster security around the nation, emphasizing that public safety must always come first. “Meeting and moving on is not enough. We must take responsibility for our actions and make sure that our communities are secure,” Prophet Oduro continued.
Prophet Oduro also emphasized to his congregation the value of prayer during these difficult times and the necessity of divine direction for Ghana to overcome its obstacles. He encouraged, “Let us turn to God and seek His intervention; we cannot rely solely on physical efforts.”
Many families are in grief for the loss of loved ones in the Obuasi shooting, which was purportedly the consequence of a fight. Since then, a large number of Ghanaians have urged the government and law enforcement to address the country’s increasing violent incidents. Prophet Oduro concurred, calling on the police to make sure those responsible for the Obuasi tragedy are held accountable.
Prophet Kofi Oduro concluded by urging all Ghanaians to join together in the struggle against violence and criminality.
