‘Every Child Deserves Everything Good In Life’ – Kuami Eugene

Kuami Eugene has shared his heartfelt passion for supporting children and giving back to society, a mission deeply rooted in his own childhood experiences. The Highlife and Afrobeats star opened up about his journey, emphasizing how his humble beginnings shaped his desire to create joy for children, especially those from disadvantaged backgrounds.

In an interview on Joy Prime,  Kuami Eugene reflected on his upbringing. “I think every child deserves everything they can get in life. But then again, that’s not what’s happening,” he said. Raised by loving parents who lacked the resources for luxuries, Kuami recounted, “We used to live in the streets, so I didn’t get to do the children’s park or enjoy those childhood experiences.”

This difficult past has inspired the singer to ensure that children have access to joyful moments he never experienced. One way he plans to achieve this is through a special Christmas event designed to be fun and affordable for families. Explaining his vision, he said, “I told myself that if I get to a level where I can handle something like that, I’d try as much as possible to spend a day with all the kids and make it very affordable.”

For Kuami Eugene, the event is about giving back, not making money. “It’s not about the money. If I’m able to get like 20,000 kids excited in one day, I think the blessings from God are worth more than the money,” he explained.

He also expressed gratitude to Richie Mensah, CEO of Lynx Entertainment, for believing in him and changing his life. “Richie Mensah saw this poor boy from the street and made him who I am today. So it’s my job to extend hands to others who can’t afford it, not because I need money, but because I want to do it,” Kuami Eugene added.

Through his story and actions, Kuami Eugene continues to inspire others, proving that success is most meaningful when it’s used to uplift those in need.
