With Ghana’s 2024 general elections drawing near, a striking prophecy has emerged regarding internal discord within the New Patriotic Party (NPP). Prophet Eric Boahen, the founder of Creator’s House Chapel, has predicted that a prominent member within the NPP will betray the party’s flagbearer, Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, just before the elections, potentially shaking the party’s unity at a pivotal time. In a widely circulated sermon, Prophet Boahen warned that this betrayal would come at a crucial moment, compromising the stability of Bawumia’s support base. He described the individual as a “strong name within the NPP,” who would abandon the party when it is most vulnerable. According to Boahen, this unexpected defection may have a profound effect on the NPP’s campaign and voter confidence.
Prophet Boahen further commented on the heightened spiritual stakes of this year’s election, suggesting that it would be the most challenging and spiritually influenced election Ghana has ever seen. He announced plans to release a final prophecy in the coming weeks, which he says will include detailed predictions regarding vote percentages and potential post-election events.
This prediction adds to a growing number of prophecies that lean in favor of the opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC) and its flagbearer, John Dramani Mahama. Religious figures like Prophet Bernard Elbernard Nelson-Eshun, Nigel Gaisie, and Owusu Bempah have also forecasted a Mahama victory, reinforcing the sentiment that divine favor is tilting toward the NDC.
Despite these prophecies, NPP leaders and supporters remain steadfast in their confidence of victory. Dr. Bawumia himself recently reaffirmed his commitment to a successful campaign during a rally in Ketu North, touting the achievements of the NPP government as pivotal to securing a win over his main opponent, Mahama. Bawumia’s optimism is echoed by Hackman Owusu-Agyeman, Chairman of the NPP National Council of Elders, who confidently stated that the NPP will emerge victorious.
