Prophet Salifu Amoako Angrily Descends on Prophet Kofi Oduro Over Insults Made at His Church

A clash between two prominent Ghanaian religious leaders, Prophet Salifu Amoako and Prophet Kofi Oduro, has sparked heated discussions within the Christian community. The confrontation unfolded after Prophet Kofi Oduro, known for his fiery preaching style, reportedly hurled insults at Prophet Salifu Amoako during a sermon at his church.

In response, Prophet Salifu Amoako, a renowned figure in Ghana’s religious circles, expressed his frustration in an interview with a local journalist. He condemned Prophet Kofi Oduro’s behavior, accusing him of lacking the spiritual maturity expected of a man of God. “The fact that Prophet Kofi Oduro is always shouting when he preaches shows he has no anointing upon him. Real and powerful prophets are calm. They do not stress themselves when prophesying or preaching,” Prophet Amoako asserted.

The exchange took a personal turn when Prophet Salifu Amoako also lashed out at Prophet Kofi Oduro, calling him “the most foolish and useless pastor” he had ever encountered. He further criticized Prophet Oduro for what he perceived as a lack of composure and respect within the clergy. According to Prophet Amoako, any prophet who claims to be a true servant of God should carry themselves with dignity and avoid public displays of hostility.

Prophet Amoako’s remarks went further, as he called on other respected religious leaders in the country to take a stand against what he described as Prophet Kofi Oduro’s disgraceful behavior. He specifically mentioned Prophet Ebenezer Opambour Yiadom and Reverend Owusu Bempah, urging them to unite with other prophets who have undergone “proper training” and have been “truly chosen by God.” According to him, it is time for these spiritual leaders to speak out against Prophet Oduro, whom he accused of tarnishing the image of the Christian faith in Ghana.

The altercation between the two prophets has ignited public debate, with many weighing in on social media and within church circles. While some support Prophet Amoako’s call for decorum among religious leaders, others defend Prophet Kofi Oduro’s passionate preaching style as a reflection of his genuine zeal for the gospel.

As the controversy unfolds, it remains to be seen whether these two prominent religious figures will find a path to reconciliation or if this feud will further deepen divisions within Ghana’s religious landscape.
