You’ll have me to contend with if you act like NPP in gov’t – Fiifi Kwetey warns

NDC General Secretary, Fifi Kwetey NDC General Secretary, Fifi Kwetey

General Secretary for the National Democratic Congress (NDC), Fiifi Kwetey, has issued a barrage of stern warnings to those who will be appointed to offices in the new government.

He says it won’t be business as usual with this government because they have worked hard to win the endorsement of the people of Ghana, and they cannot do anything to thwart the effort they put in.

The NDC scribe warned that if members of the political party who will be put in offices of influence think they can do what the New Patriotic Party did in government, then they will have him to contend with.

He is not going to allow people to display arrogance in the face of Ghanaians, whom they pleaded with to be given power.

Fiifi Kwetey was speaking to Accra-based Joy News when he sounded this word of caution.

“The NDC must appreciate that this reset agenda is not just about taking the NPP out. The charity must begin at home, and you are going to hear more of that. If the NDC guys think that we’ve worked hard and taken the NPP out and, therefore, it is time for people to do exactly what it is that we have campaigned against, then that is when they are going to realize that the General Secretary is a totally different General Secretary. For me, the country is far more important than the party, and we will make sure the NDC at any point will appreciate that,” he said.

To Fiifi Kwetey, it is imperative that capable people are given the opportunity to work and are supported, indicating that it does not matter if they voted for the party or not.
